Redefined Senior Living

the circle of life . . . .

Isn’t it strange how life seems to go full circle? Take living conditions for example. Many people start out 9 in one room in our parent’s home. Maybe a cute little nursery, or a bedroom of the room where our parent’s sleep. We may end up, as we grow older, sharing that room with a brother or sister  -  or maybe more than one.

We grow older, graduate and find a job. Time to leave the nest. We get our own place, maybe alone, maybe with a roommate or two. Life is  fun and exciting. We are on our own, our own boss, in our own home, be it ever so humble  -  or luxurious, depending on the job and t he bank account.

Most of us don’t stay in this spot. The next step is marriage and a family, and a larger house as the size of the family grows. The children are now in the position you were once in  -  each in his or her own room, or sharing a room with a sibling or two.

And the circle turns. Now your children are growing up. They’ve graduating and now too are leaving the nest. Your house sprouts empty rooms. You rattle around like marbles in a jar. Why do we need such a large house, you ask. So many rooms to keep clean.

A big yard and no one to care for it.  The kids come to help you move, this time into a Senior Living Apartment Building.

And  suddenly you find yourself back where is all started. Just you, in your own little room, surrounded by what’s left of your possessions. The other residents have become your siblings and the building attendants are your parents

Still life goes on. The circle keeps going. You may be back in a small one bedroom home, but this time your have something you didn’t have as a child. You have your wonderful memories. Memories of y our family, of all the things you’ve done, the places you’ve been. These memories are golden. Enjoy them. Enjoy this time to relax.
